UPDATE x2 – October 31, 2017: One year later, Maggie Liu is still missing and her disappearance is still an open investigation with the Winnipeg Police Service. Anyone with information is urged to call police immediately, and please remember to contine sharing Maggie’s missing report in hopes that someone knows something.
UPDATE: A Winnipeg man is desperately looking for a boat and someone familiar with the river in order to find answers about his missing wife. Police searched the river for Zhimin Liu but only until the Forks, where the Assiniboine and the Red River meet. Her husband is looking for someone to help continue searching on the Red River. According to her husband, she took off on her own while he was sleeping and she has nothing with her except a very thin jacket.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE: WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing 32 year old Zhimin (Maggie) Liu out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba area.
Zhimin was last seen on October 30, 2016 . Her last known location was in the River Heights neighborhood late Sunday night. She may be wearing a grey jacket, dark-colored pants and dark shoes.
Zhimin is described as:
• Gender: Female.
• Eyes: Brown.
• Hair: Black.
• Height: 5 feet even.
• Weight: 120 lbs.
